“People are looking for us! Helping clients improve their health and feel heard is the most rewarding part of this journey.”
Meet Pam Gerth, a dedicated health coach, military veteran, and passionate advocate for holistic well-being. Pam’s journey from the Air Force to becoming a certified Integrative Health Practitioner (IHP) is nothing short of inspiring. She brings her unique blend of discipline, leadership, and a heart for helping others to her practice. Let’s dive into Pam’s story and learn what drives her to make a difference in the lives of her clients.

Pam’s Professional Path
Pam holds an impressive array of certifications, including IHP Levels 1 and 2, HPH, and Mastery, and is currently working toward Level 3. Her professional journey began with a degree in Athletic Training, which sparked a lifelong passion for health and wellness. Early on, Pam’s summers were spent working at a health food store and volunteering at a co-op. After college, she joined the Air Force, setting off on a 24-year adventure that shaped her in countless ways.
Life in the Air Force
Pam initially joined the Air Force for the love of service, travel, and adventure. With her fluency in German, she pursued a career in Intelligence—a path she never imagined but embraced wholeheartedly. Over two decades, Pam’s journey took her from Texas to Idaho, New Mexico, and even The Netherlands, where she spent three years with NATO. It was her favorite assignment, blending work with rich cultural experiences. Along the way, Pam met her husband, also in the Air Force, and together they navigated the challenges of military life.
Her time in service honed her leadership skills and boosted her confidence, shaping the compassionate, solution-focused health coach she is today.
The Turning Point

Pam’s transition to integrative health was deeply personal. For years, she struggled with chronic sinus infections, relying on antibiotics and steroids to no avail. In 2003, she discovered a health and wellness company whose products transformed her health. Later, during her military retirement physical, Pam was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. Determined to avoid medication, she worked with a naturopathic doctor to address deficiencies and regain balance. In 2022, she discovered The Cabral Concept and IHPI, realizing this was her true calling.
Overcoming Challenges
Starting a new career at 58 might seem daunting, but Pam embraced it with determination. She hired experts to handle administrative tasks like setting up her website and LLC, freeing her to focus on mastering the IHP curriculum. Networking and connecting with people face-to-face became her secret weapon. As Pam says, “People are looking for us!”
Coaching with Compassion
Pam’s military background instilled a deep sense of resilience, discipline, and empathy. She’s no stranger to overcoming challenges and helps her clients do the same. Her personal health journey—including her ongoing recovery from Hashimoto’s, psoriasis, mold exposure, and parasites—gives her a unique ability to relate to her clients’ struggles. Pam is committed to helping others see their health as a journey, not a quick fix.
A Thriving IHP Community

What drew Pam to IHPI was the sense of belonging and support. Attending IHP Live in Florida (now known as the Reimagining Health Summit) solidified her connection to a community of like-minded individuals who genuinely care about health and wellness. “I’ve made lifelong friends in this community,” Pam shares. The live Q&A sessions, mentorship programs, and ongoing access to learning materials have been invaluable in her growth as a practitioner.
Pam’s Advice to Veterans
To veterans considering a career in integrative health, Pam has one message: just do it. She emphasizes the importance of stepping outside the conventional system and exploring natural ways to heal and balance the body. Detoxing is a critical step she advocates for.
Success Stories and Wins

While Pam’s own healing journey has been transformative, she’s also seen the ripple effect in her clients’ lives. Whether it’s helping someone improve their sleep, digestion, or energy levels, every small victory feels monumental. “Every little win for a client feels like a win for me,” she says.
Final Thoughts
Pam’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, lifelong learning, and the willingness to embrace change. Her advice for anyone feeling overwhelmed by lifestyle changes? Start small. “It doesn’t all happen overnight. Patience is important.”
